Greetings Fam, Happy November!!
I cannot believe we are already in November!! I don't know about you all but I am so looking forward to spending the holidays with my family. There has been so much going on that I think we all get lost in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I'm so ready to slow down and I know the rest of the team here is too. We have been so incredibly fortunate to travel across country to attend conferences and other events. This month we will be attending the CA Black School Educators (CABSE) Education as Reparations Conference. Excited to learn and continue to set ourselves up to be leaders in the Education/Mental Health/Wellness Space. HUGE SHOUTOUT goes to our BYLP Alumnae (Michaela, Trinity & Chinyce) and all the ladies on the Afro Floor who welcomed current BYLP High School seniors to their campus with open arms. If you have a senior (Class of 2023) and they are interested in exploring the possibility of attending UC Berkeley, make sure you connect them with the BRRC (Black Recruitment & Retention Center). What a treat it was to see our young Queens walking in their power.
It goes down over here at BYLP!! If you would like us to visit your games, campus, District Office or attend a tabling event in the community - invite us! We'd be happy to come support you. If you have training needs we do that too BUT we aren't FREE ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Connect and see why we are indeed a #WHOLEMOOD
***Please be advised BYLP will close its office the last 2 weeks of November for the Thanksgiving Holiday***

BYLP achieves its goals with the assistance of generous donations from individual & corporate donors from our community. Without community support, serving Black youth in California would not be possible.
Thank you for your continued investment.
