About the event
The Shades of Melanin Soiree hosted by ESPN Radio's Damien Barling of the D-Lo and KC show, is celebration of Black Excellence and an Ode to all the many shades represented in our community. This event held at Sac's newest Black Owned venue downtown (Our Place) is a community shindig doubling as a scholarship fundraiser aimed at sending the high schoolers of the Class of 2022 off with resources to help them cover costs associated with future expenses like transportation, books, food, etc. TICKETS are FREE, but DONATIONS are encouraged & accepted via check, our website (Paypal), CashApp ($bylp) and at the door.
